Aloe Vera GellyOverview of Aloe Vera Benefits for Your Skin

The skin benefits of aloe vera are both legendary and legion. Aloe Vera has been used for centuries to soothe and moisturize.

We know, for instance, that aloe vera played an important role in Queen Cleopatra's skincare. The Holy Bible (King James Version) refers to "aloes" five times. (See Psalms 45:8, Proverbs 7:17, Song of Solomon 4:14, Nuimbers 24:6, and John 19:39.

In modern times research and modern science have allowed pure aloe vera gel to be stabilized (the process required to keep aloe vera from going "bad" in the container, but still retain its numerous beneficial vitamins, enzymes and other helpful compounds) and affordable for nearly every budget.

Let's take a look at the top two benefits and uses of Aloe Vera for your skin:

Aloe Vera Soothes Skin

No matter your age, aloe vera is a great addition to your bathroom and kitchen! There are now numerous bath, personal hygiene, and skincare (face and body) aloe vera-based product from which to choose.

For children and adults Aloe Vera Gelly (see picture above) soothes minor cuts, rashes, and minor burns. Aloe Propolis Creme is wonderful for baby's bottom! Even better it can be used alone or in combination with other baby skin products.

There is even a special "Aloe Vet Formula" for spraying on the skin and fur of your household pets and horses.

Aloe Vera Moisturizes Skin

One of the most interesting uses of aloe vera is that it actually works to open pores so that the moisturizing properties of aloe vera can get deeper into the skin tissue. As long as 100% stabilized aloe vera gel is listed as the first ingredient, you have an excellent aloe vera-based moisturizer.

Of course, there are aloe vera products formulated especially to moisturize your face, while others are formulated for the rest of your skin.

All-in-all Aloe Vera is arguably the best moisturizer for the skin.
